Hiker’s Challenge #4 — Take Someone With You
This week I wrote about a family reunion and a hike with in-laws. Old memories were shared. New memories were made. Last week, I went on the trail with members of Sandpoint Monday Hikers.
So your challenge this week is simple: Take a hike with family or friends.
It doesn’t have to be long. It doesn’t have to be a peak. A woods walk, a lakeside loop.
Notice what changes when you aren’t walking alone. Who sets the pace? What gets talked about? What stays quiet? Whether an old story surfaces or a new one starts.
When you’re back, tell us how it went.
Who came with you?
What made the day feel special (or unexpectedly ordinary, which can be its own kind of special)?
What did you learn: about them, about the trail, or about yourself?
Share in the comments below, or submit a longer piece through the Readers’ Hike form if you’d like to be featured.
I can’t wait to see who you brought along.
Happy Hiking,
Jen
