Hiker’s Challenge #3: The Unexpected Food Stops
Where's Yours Along the Trail?
This week I wrote about a place I love to stop on the way to a hike—Hartman’s Coffee in Clark Fork. Writing about the unassuming food stops people might drive right past is one of my favorite parts of this project. (Have you seen the post about the gas station in Samuels, Idaho yet? I’d eat there every day. In fact, if I weren’t already married, I’d hold my wedding there; the food and atmosphere are so amazing.)
So this week’s challenge: What’s an unusual place you like to eat before or after a hike? A must-stop, whether it’s in Northern Idaho or somewhere else entirely.
Drop it in the comments below—or submit a longer piece through the Readers’ Hike form if you’d like a chance to be featured.
I can’t wait to see (and maybe feature!) what you share.
Happy Hiking & Eating!
